| I use both an Olympus E-1 and E-3 for Focus Stacking macro work.
The main macro lenses is a Sigma 150 mm HSM f/2.8 macro. General use lenses are the 9-18 Olympus F3.5 and the 50-200
Olympus f:2.8. My tripod is a Manfrotto 055XPPro with a Manfrotto 488RC2 ballhead with an Acra clamp.
I use Adobe PhotoShop CS/5 and Nik plug-ins, mostly Viveza 2 and Color Efex Pro 3.0. I also used Zerene Stacker to
render focus stacked images.
My field rig is constantly changing.

| What is "Focus Stacking"? |
| |
| Many people have heard of stacking or stacked
images; but I think John Hallmen, a master of the process, state most clearly: ""Stacking" or more precisely "Focus stacking" is the act of
combining multiple images with slight shifts in focus into a finalimage with extended depth of field. In essence, the stacking software
pieces together the limited depth of field in each frame into an imagethat consists of the sharp areas in all the stacked frames combined.
This allows you to get around the limitation of having the extremelylimited depth of field that you otherwise get at high magnifications.
It also allows you to shoot at wider aperture settings which results inhigher resolution since a lot of detail otherwise is lost due to
diffraction softening that arises at small effective apertures." John Hallmen(Morfa)
